(1) Hi Rachel Kindly Pass on my Birthday Wishes to your daughter Abigail for today 12 November thx. (2) Her cake looks yummy. Just a pity Mommy wont be able to have any of it seeing as she is trying to get her figure back after the birth of baby Fergus Ian. D in Glasgow
Hi Rachel. Sincerely hope teacher is NOT making her "pupils" work too hard in class these days. D in Glasgow
No, no one is working too hard! :-)
Hope you're all well in Glasgow.
I know "teachers" very rarely work hard Rachel LOL. PS any word of Leah, Caleb and Co coming over to the UK in order to see their newest Nephew?
No, haven't heard any news of them coming this way for a visit. Just waiting to see how things go with the possibility of them ending up in New Zealand, which feels very far away. :(
I know that Caleb spent a few weeks recently in New Zealand with your Cousin Rev Jett Smith when he also supplied the congregations in Australia. I had not heard that he, your sister Leah and family had plans to go to New Zealand PERMANENTLY! At least the weather in New Zealand WILL BE warmer than here in Scotland!. D in Glasgow
Yes, a congregation in New Zealand would like to call him. But still early days, I think, so will have to wait and see what happens.
Should anything come from New Zealand's interest in Caleb going there permanently, I reckon it will be a case of Texas's loss is New Zealand's gain. I would feel V Sorry for those in in Texas especially Leah's family should they end up in New Zealand Full-Time. The + point of it all would be that yous would I am sure be able to communicate with each other via Skype etc D in Glasgow
Hope all pupils and their "teacher" have an enjoyable holiday over the festive period DV
I wonder if a "teacher" in Tain, her husband and family will manage to go back to Texas for a wee break during the festive holidays?, or does a "teacher" NOT usually take her "pupils" away during the "school holidays"? From D in Glasgow
As nice as a visit to Texas would be, a trip like that costs quite a fortune for a family of 8! :-P So afraid we don't have any plans to go anywhere right now - just having a quiet time at home. :) But a break from lessons is enjoyed by the children - and by me too! And plenty of jobs around the house to catch up on as well.
I thought when children are under a certain age, they only have to pay 50% of the adult fare or might even get for free! If speaking to those in Texas pass on regards of everyone in Glasgow. From D in Glasgow. PS its strange how "teachers" like to be away from their pupils! I wonder why that is?
Under 2 years is usually "free" but still taxes to pay for them - which several years ago still amounted to hundreds of pounds in taxes alone for a baby! So yeah, all adds up for a big family! And the children have both British and American citizenship, which means to travel to USA they need 2 passports each - so 12 passports would be needed for the children alone. Much easier and cheaper to travel before you have kids! LOL :-D
Oh, and not much chance of getting away from pupils when the teacher is also the mum - must be with them 24/7! But a break from the books is quite good enough! :)
Hope you are all well in Glasgow and wishing you and your mum the Lord's blessing in 2015.
I suppose when "teacher" also happens to double up as their mum, shw WONT be as strict on her "pupils", as a normal teacher would be. The reason for that is because she LOVES them so much, and would be LOST without them. Re paasports I thought until they reach a certain age they would be allowed to travel on their parents passports! I suppose when you also have your holiday home to cater for in Edderton getting away for a few days can be a NIGHTMARE Rachel. From D in Glasgow. PS Glad to say mum is getting over her bout of Sciatica V Slowly. She has been able to go out for short walks with the Physio a few times when it has been dry and COLD so she is getting there but like everything in life it takes time especially when you have to remember she aint YOUNG anymore!
I'm very glad to hear that your mum is improving, even if it is slowly. Praying she continues to get even better still.
Another plus point about "teacher" having "pupils at home 24 7 365 also means (1) the lessons are not on a strict timetable, and (2) the children can help mummy do odd little jobs/chores in and around the house too. From D in Glasgow. PS hope the weather in tain is at least dry if a little colder than in Santa Fe Texas U S A
