I'm pretty sure that with my previous babies, I always posted something on my blog within 24 hours - sometimes within a few hours of them being born if they were a home birth. But poor baby #7 - he's been here for 8 days, and I'm only JUST starting a blog post! Big oops! So, at last, you can all meet
George Thomas, born on the 11th of November at 7:58pm, weighing 10lb 2.5oz !
This was at about 14 hours old, when he was all cosy for leaving hospital! :-)
He was my latest baby - a full 11 days overdue! :-P He was also my biggest baby - by 10 whole ounces! :-P Clement (3rd baby) was 8lb 14oz. And then Fergus (#6) was 10oz heavier than him. And then George outdid Fergus by a further 10oz! Yes, he was a big baby! And the labour was not very straight forward, and his birth was difficult. But very thankful to the Lord that in the end, all went well and there weren't any complications. The midwives and everyone at the University Hospital in Durham were fantastic. I couldn't have asked for better care or more competent midwives - they were all amazing! :-) Once again, I have to say, the NHS is a huge blessing and there are some wonderful and caring people there!

| Loving big brother Fergus enjoying a cuddle with George! :-) |
| Oldest and youngest! George missed being born on Abigail's birthday by only a few hours! ;-) |
| Oldest boy and youngest boy! |
| Deborah and George |
| Looking out the window |
| My small boys! :-) |
| Snoozing! |
| Fergus loves his brother so much! :-) Whenever he wants to rub his head, he grabs my hand to hold his own and says "Show me how to do gentle!" It's SO sweet! |
| Two days old - in the Papoozle sling |
| He loved being here! |
Abigail turned 11 the day after George was born. No time to bake a cake when you've just come home from hospital! ;-) LOL So a cake from Asda it was!
| I actually got ALL 7 children in one photo! LOL :-) Kids were chilling out on the sitting room while we were having laminate flooring replaced in the dining room and the big room for Peter's books. |
| A game of Guess Who - boys vs girls! :-D |
| The floors in progress |
| Another in progress shot - don't think I've got a good "after" shot yet, but the guys did a great job on the floors! It feels great underfoot and they went the extra mile and planed the edges of the old Victorian doors, so they shut perfectly now! (A couple of the doors didn't shut at all before!) |
| This was yesterday - at 1 week old! He was out in town with his mama a couple of times and got to enjoy 4 bus rides too! I'm loving living in a place where there are buses into town! When you don't have a British driving license, it's SO handy to be able to get to doctor's appointments on my own - without needing Peter to take me and drag out all 7 kids! Yay for regular buses - and a stop just across from our street! :-) |
| This is how Fergus goes to bed every night - he MUST have this huge Bob the Builder on this right, and his small Winnie the Pooh on the other side, as well as a small Bob! :-) AND he has "cosy Winnie the Pooh duvet" as he calls it! |
| I absolutely love this photo of Fergus! We were at the park the other day and I asked him to stop for a photo and he gave me this precious smile! :-) It really sums up his personality. He's just so loving and sweet and thoughtful. I don't buy into the idea of "terrible twos". This just turned two year old is just amazing - a wonderful blessing to have! :-) NO, I'm not saying he's a perfect human - none of us are! ;-) But he really is a lovely little boy. |
| Five days old - out for a walk with his mama, after an appointment at the local hospital. |
| So, in other news - it's hard to believe we've already been living in our new (old) house for a month now!! We all love it here. It just instantly felt like HOME! :-) The children enjoy these "seats" on the stairs for reading books! |
| We've been trying to get back into a bit of routine since moving - though George sort of set that back a bit! ;-) This was a couple of weeks ago - back to lessons one morning for the kids! They were still in PJs here, but at least busy working! Hopefully on Monday next week we'll start again with schooling - as the first week after a new baby, it's all a bit of chaos! :-D But George is adjusting to life the past few days (his first 5 days were feeding or screaming - ALL the time). But he's so much calmer and more relaxed now, so hoping for a bit of normality returning soon! |
| The week after we moved, was Fergus' 2nd Birthday - on the 25th of October. |
| He was pleased with his Playmobil tractor |
| Fergus and some brothers :-) |
| A new Toby train :-) |
| He was excited that it was a talking one |
| And Percy too! :-) |
| Fergus got a homemade cake ;-) but very thrown together decorating! lol |
| He wanted to grab the candle! ;-) |
| Yum! |
Well, must get busy around here! But at least I've *finally* updated the neglected blog! :-)
